Visiting The Wonders of The World
Ancient Wonders of The World
Did you know from the original seven wonders of the world Colossus of Rhodes, Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus only one is still standing? The Great Pyramid of Giza was built in 2550BC by Pharaoh Khufu. It is said to be the largest pyramid in Giza standing at 481 feet. Located on the Giza Plateau just outside of Cairo.
The ancient Egyptians believed that these monumental tombs prepared them for the afterlife, where they believed they would become gods. Today you can visit inside this original wonder of the world, but it is not for the faint hearted or those that suffer from Claustrophobia. Why not take a cruise down the River Nile stopping to see and witness the ancient pyramids in Egypt?
Modern Wonders of The World
The modern wonders of the world include Chichen Itza, Christ the Redeemer, The Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, Petra, Taj Mahal, and the Colosseum. If you haven’t visited and seen these incredible wonders, they really should be on your travel list. Each dramatically different which you can’t compare them and photographs just don’t do them justice.
Visit Mexico and the ancient Mayan’s who created and built Chichen Itza, to the Taj Mahal built with white marble and inlaid with colourful gems, a piece of art built to honour love. Which one will you visit?
