There is lots to keep kids busy in this beautiful downtown park, including a petting zoo where peacocks strut their feathers and baby goats hop around and a water playground featuring a giant watering can. There is also an open air stage which often has live music performances.

Galey Farms

Located just north of Victoria in Saanich, Galey Farms is a great place to bring the kids as there is a petting farm and a little kiddie train as well as hay rides in the autumn. While you are there, you can also pick up some delicious and healthy fresh produce to snack on. If you want to get some exercise – rent bikes and ride there on the Galloping Goose Trail!

Street Performers in the Inner Harbour

During the summer tourist season, Victoria BC kid friendly Inner Harbour and downtown area is always filled with performances by great quality buskers, from marimba bands to acrobats to fire-juggling uni-cyclists. I have spent many lovely evenings eating ice cream and walking in between each performance. Remember to bring some small change to throw in the performer’s hat after the show.
