This may be a bit of a controversial statement for a travel blog but I’m gonna go ahead and say it anyway.
I’ve never been outside of Australia.
Shocking, I know. While I have been to Perth (which by the time you fly 6 hours from Sydney, may as well be another country), I’ve never actually set foot outside of Australian soil. Thats not to say I don’t want to, I just simply haven’t had the opportunity.
However, if I suddenly won a million dollars tomorrow, I’d probably use that cash to go check out my top 5 holiday destinations.
Top 5 International Travel Destinations
Ever since I’ve been young I’ve always wanted to visit the UK, particularly London. It’s a country that has such a rich history, as well as impact on our own. I love the feel and style of London’s architecture, let alone everything there is to do there. Apart from that I’d love to explore the English countryside, and visit Scotland and Ireland while I’m at it.
Another country full of history and culture, but entirely different to the UK. I’d love to experience bustling Tokyo with an absolutely huge population of 9.1 million. Then in contrast travel around the smaller villages. Lets be honest though, I mainly want to go for the food…
Paris is a romantic idea for anybody, and I’m no exception. With the Eiffel Tower, the Lourve and the Arc de Triomphe, there’s plenty of international icons to see and experience in France. Apart from Paris, I grew up with a cycling mad family who would watch the Tour de France religiously every year. With that given, I’d absolutely love to see the French country side.
Our closest neighbour, New Zealand, is another fantastic location I can’t wait to visit, with so much to do and explore. Apart from the the gorgeous landscapes that the Lord of the Rings trilogy has made famous, there’s also some of the best bungy jumping and rafting in the world. Definitely worth a visit
Ahh, America. The land of the free. I know I’d absolutely love the opportunity to go visit the USA and just live it up American style. Cheeseburgers bigger than my head, watching the baseball, visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you name it. With so many iconic cities and locations, there’d be no shortage of things to do and places to visit.
So there you have it, my top 5 destinations I want to visit. Let us know what yours are!
