Ten Photos to inspire you to visit Florence

After discussing how to visit Florence in one day in an earlier article, I would now, as usual, also like to dedicate a blog post to some photos of Florence that I took during my visit.

I will refrain from going into too much detail about what you can see and do in this marvelous city—the tourist board website has all the info you might need. I just want to say that Florence absolutely belongs on any itinerary in Italy.

As the city that was responsible for the Renaissance, literally bringing the arts and science back to life after the Dark Ages, Florence is one of the most culturally and historically significant cities on the planet. Without delving too deep into the facts, this was the city of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Machiavelli, Dante and Vasari, just to name only a handful.

Anyway, this blog post is meant to give you a visual overview of what to expect when you visit Florence. Hopefully, the following ten photos of Florence will inspire you to visit this superb city yourself.

Scroll down and enjoy, guys!

Florence is located in the heart of and is the capital of Tuscany, arguably one of the world’s most beautiful regions. It is easily reached by car and train from any other big city in Italy. The city is also dotted with excellent hotels, just in case you would like to spend more than one day there, which, by all means, you really should.
