Athlone is the right place to see if you are fond of castles. The charming little town is brimming with great architecture. Visit Athlone castle and learn more about the Irish history. Have a day trip to Derryglad Folk & Heritage Museum. Have a fun day out on a replica of a Viking ship – the best cruise you will ever experience. Shannon Banks natural trail is a 5km walk passing along the river Shannon. Do not be afraid, it is actually quite an easy stroll and you will get to enjoy a lot of greenery and different species of birds.

Dalkey on the south side of Dublin is a must

As charming as Dublin may be, there is a place near it which is an absolutely must when it comes to visiting Ireland. See the history come alive at Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre where actors tell the visitors all about the ancient times in Ireland and re-enact some of the period-specific scenes. If you are keen on water activities you can take up kayaking and see why the locals are so crazy about it. This place is well-known for the hospitality of the cheerful locals so you may actually want to spend a couple of days out there. You might want to find someone to share accommodation with, as that way, you will save a lot of pounds and get to meet some new people to enjoy exploring Dalkey with.

Natural wonders and sports in Kenmare

Kenmare is home to some of the best sport activities in Ireland. What you can do here is go on some cycling tours, enjoy walking all over the place and practice golf with people who share your enthusiasm for that particular pastime. There is the famous Stone circle to visit and relax in its peaceful surroundings. Bonane Heritage Park is perfect for spending a day off and learning about the Irish folk habits and traditions.
