How To Have Your Very Own (Responsible) Schoolies

Gold Coast Schoolies

Ahh the Gold Coast. The piece of Queensland coast where recently graduated high schoolers traditionally converge to celebrate their completion of high school. For the space of two weeks the place is swamped by highly intoxicated young people trying to write themselves off as quickly as possible, (not fun for everyone else). However, for the other 50 weeks of the year, Surfers Paradise is home to some of the most gorgeous beaches, trendiest bars and is host to Australia’s theme park capital. Perfect for a getaway!

The options at your disposal from just from central CBD of Cavil Aveune are almost endless. You can go surfing at one of the Gold Coast’s countless beaches, get lost in mirror and light maze ‘Infinity,’ scare yourself at Dracula’s Haunted House, and then relax with a cool drink afterwards. You wouldn’t believe that all that was within a 5 minute walk of each other!

If you’re looking for a more family oriented affair it’s easy make the short trip out to Australia’s theme park hub. Here you’ll something for everyone and anyone including Warner Bros. MovieWorld, SeaWorld, DreamWorld and Wet ‘n’ Wild.

Gold Coast Schoolies: Sea World is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, and theme park located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It includes rides, animal exhibits and other attractions, and promotes conservation through education and through the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. The park is commercially linked to Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild Water World as part of the theme park division of Village Roadshow. Flickr - Instagram - Pinterest - Triptease - Facebook -

So, if you’re looking to save money (let’s be honest, who isn’t?) then maybe consider a holiday package with flights and accommodation all done for you, so then all you have to do is kick back, relax and be grateful you aren’t surrounded by drunk Gold Coast Schoolies.
