Kansas City straddles the Kansas-Missouri border, and while you may logically think it forms part of the state of Kansas and yes technically it does, but… it is also part of the state of Missouri. However, it is not one city across two states, but rather two separate cities in two states. And if you stand on the State Line Road, you could be in either state depending on which side of the road you’re on. How’s that for confusing? Yep, welcome to Kansas City – whichever side you may be on. For this article on downtown Kansas City hotels, we’ll have our feet planted firmly on the Missouri side.
