After the photographic overviews of Vermont and New Hampshire, I now would like to share with you guys these photographic impressions of Maine, New England’s biggest state. Maine is also the Northeast’s wildest state, home to a marvelously indented coastline dotted with lighthouses, countless inland lakes and hundreds of miles of rivers, vast forests and rugged mountain ranges.
There can be no mistaking: Maine is an outdoorsy state. This is the place to go canoeing, fishing, hiking and wildlife watching—there’s a huge moose and black bear population.
Additionally, the state is world-famous for its seafood, most notably its lobsters. When driving around, visitors will see countless seafood restaurants, fried clam shacks and lobster roll stalls lining the roads.
It’s an absolutely gorgeous state, as I will try to show you in the pictures below.
