Best Mid Range Virginia Beach Hotels

Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel

Sheraton’s reputation always precedes this enterprise, so you can expect it to be a decent hotel with good service. Rates start from around $170 (advance bookings). The Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel caters to families and pets. Families can enjoy space and comfort in one of the deluxe suites that includes a living area, refrigerator, microwave, and sofa bed. Pet-friendly rooms come with a complimentary dog bed. Note that from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Virginia Beach City does not allow dogs on the beach and boardwalk.

Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center

If you don’t mind staying off the beachfront, book a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center in the heart of downtown. It’s ideally located for those wanting to be close to shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Rates range from $200 to $260. Booking well in advance or out of season could land you rates as low as $145. For that price, this mid-range hotel offers superb value. It’s incredibly modern, with friendly and efficient staff, and consistently scores excellent reviews from guests. It’s one of the best mid range Virginia Beach hotels.

DoubleTree by Hilton Virginia Beach

This is a DoubleTree hotel, which means you’ll be greeted with a signature chocolate chip cookie. It’s situated next to the Convention Center and eight blocks from the beachfront. The hotel provides a free shuttle service between the hotel and the beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This is a good mid-range hotel if you’re traveling on business. A business center, express mail service, and complimentary printing are available. And for meetings and events, the DoubleTree by Hilton Virginia Beach has nine meeting rooms and a grand ballroom that accommodates up to 700 guests.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Va Beach Oceanfront

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Va Beach Oceanfront underwent a revamp and is now a more than adequate player among all the other oceanfront hotels along the boardwalk. All rooms face the ocean, offer remarkable views, and are non-smoking. The hot breakfast is a hit with guests – make sure you don’t miss out on the delicious cinnamon rolls! If you’re in town for the Shamrock Marathon, this is a fantastic accommodation. It’s a short walk from the start of the race, which also finishes right near the hotel.

Surfside Oceanfront Inn & Suites

This is another amazing mid-range hotel steps away from the sand with beautiful ocean views from your balcony. The Surfside Oceanfront Inn & Suites has a very dated logo and signage, but this is soon to be replaced – it’s joining the Sheraton group of hotels. The new property is scheduled to open August 2016 as the Four Points by Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. It will sport a contemporary look with amenities that include a fitness center and indoor heated pool.
