Head to a dog park

More and more cities are building dog parks. When you want to go out with your dog and let them have a day they won’t forget, take them to a dog park.

But before you go to the park, make sure you take the proper precautions. It is easy for your dog to get sick or make other dogs sick. Be sure they are up to date on all of their shots. This will help to keep your dog and the other dogs at the park safe.

Go on a hiking adventure with your pup

Wilderness is in dogs’ nature. Their wolf ancestors live in the mountains. This is why your dog is going to love taking a hike with you. Before you leave, though, tell a friend or a family member where you are going and when you plan on getting back.

Also, check there’s not any dangerous wildlife or natural plants that could harm your furry friend. Also, make sure you bring dog food and water for the hike. You don’t want your dog getting dehydrated while you are in the mountains.

Enter a frisbee tournament

If you have an energetic dog, they most likely love tossing the frisbee with you. There are frisbee tournaments that you can enter during the summer that could be a lot of fun. You could train your dog to jump high, do flips and run fast for the frisbee. The two of you could walk away as champions of a frisbee tournament that will live on in your memory for years to come.

Try showing your dog

If you have a purebred dog, you could have a lot of fun showing your dog in American Kennel Club shows all across the country. You may even be able to work your way up to a state or national champion.  There are certain things you will need to learn when you want to start showing your dog. Getting the papers for your dog will be important to do as well.

Bring your dog on a backpacking adventure

Backpacking is a fun pastime that can turn into some pretty incredible adventures that last for days, even weeks. As long as you prepare in advance, you can easily bring your furry friend along with you for the adventure. Make sure you do your research to find the right supplies that you will want to bring along with you on your backpacking trip.

Go on a dog photoshoot

In the age of social media, there are many opportunities to show your pretty four-legged friend off to the world. Taking your dog to some of the most beautiful spots in your area and snapping photos can be a great way to share the love of your furry friend online. These will make for some great Instagram or Facebook posts that you will treasure for years. You can even go as far as creating a photo album of your dog chronicling your many adventures.

When you start looking into the possibilities for adventures with your dog, you will realize they are virtually endless. There are so many fun things that you can do with your dog during any season. As long as you put in the proper planning, you will be able to have many different fun times over the years with your furry friends.
